Adequate coverage for a brand new vehicle, which we owned. We had to go thru State Farm ( our insurance) due to this issue. State Farm was phenomenal! I am in my late 60's and have had many different policies w different carriers. State Farm has been by far the best ! Our car was 3 weeks old at the time and unfortunately was totaled due to the damage! This was quite stressful for both of us especially due to time of year ( Thanksgiving weekend). With the help of State Farm we were able to purchase another car rather quickly and try and get past the stress of all of this ! "Very unhelpful. I filed a claim and they would not give me an answer of whether I could begin repairs or if they needed to inspect it first. I waited weeks. Their answers were contradictory. They also gave several different phone numbers of other companies they said were responsible for answering my question but these other companies said they were not responsible. When I called state farm about the claim they would leave on on hold for over an hour and then speak rudely to me (and refuse to answer questions). Edit: their office responded below referring to an auto claim but I was writing about a homeowner's insurance claim. Everything I said above is 100% accurate. For over a week they told me a company in Houston (?!) would have to decide if I could begin repairs. That company vociferously denied this and said state farm was responsible. Patronize this business at your own risk."
